Changes/cancellation policy

Should you need to make a change to your confirmed booking we will do our utmost to try and assist, however, we cannot make any guarantees we would be able to meet your request. We suggest that you take out suitable travel insurance in the event you need to cancel your stay.

If we can accommodate your change request there will be a small administration cost, plus any change in price if applicable (eg if you change dates). Bookings may not be transferred to other parties at any time.

Cancellation by us

In the unlikely event of a cancellation by us and where we are unable to offer you a suitable alternative you are entitled to a full refund of monies paid. We regret we cannot pay compensation or any reimbursement of any expenses you may incur as a result of any such cancellation or change.

Booking Policy

Arrival and departure times – Sleep Wild Glamping (SWG) will be available for check in between 4 and 8 pm and it is requested that guests leave by 10 am on the day of departure.

Camp fires are only permitted in the fire pits provided and only with the firewood provided or purchased from us. Disposable barbeques are not permitted on site.

No naked flames or candles in the cabin or on the decking, only to light the fire pit. Wood fired hot tub and the wood burner.

Initial payment

Bookings will be confirmed upon receipt by the owner of the required deposit payment. However, if the booking is made within 30 days of the holiday commencement date, the full accommodation rental will be required.

Confirmation of booking

Once the owner has issued a Confirmation of booking the Hirer is responsible for the total published price of the property and extras as shown on the confirmation. Amendments to bookings will be subject to a £25 administration fee.

Pets

Only upon request as we have special rules that need to be adhered to. There will be an extra charge.

Children

Children are allowed on site but must be under close supervision by the parents or guardians. SWG accepts no responsibility for any injury to a child incurred anywhere on the site or in the cabin.

Liability

SWG accepts no responsibility for injury incurred anywhere on the site or in the cabin. Guests are responsible for their own property including their vehicle for the duration of their stay, SWG does not accept any responsibility for personal effects.

Noise

Please keep noise levels to a minimum after 11 pm and before 8 am in consideration of others

Unreasonable behaviour

SWG has the right to refuse to hand over accommodation and ask you to leave if the unreasonable behaviour of anyone in your party is likely to cause offence to other guests or to members of staff. In such cases the contract will be terminated and SWG will not have any further liability. SWG reserves the right to terminate a holiday after the keys have been handed over, if the unreasonable behaviour of anyone in your party is likely to impair the enjoyment, comfort or health of other guests or members of staff. In these circumstances no refund will be given. SWG also reserves the right to ask any person (s) who is not suitable due to unreasonable behaviour, damage to property, danger or annoyance to others to leave the site. In this event no refund will be due. There is an automatic £50 charge if we are called out to a disturbance of your doing where another guest has requested our assistance or where we have felt it necessary to attend a situation.

Care of the cabin

Guests are legally obliged to take all reasonable and proper care of the cabin including buildings, gardens, fixtures, fittings, furniture, pictures and other effects in or around the cabin and shall leave them in the same state of repair and condition at the end of the rental period as found at the beginning. In the event of any damage to the cabin or equipment during the stay, guests are required to notify the owner. Guests agree to leave the property in a clean and tidy condition: this includes cleaning all cutlery and crockery and placing all rubbish in appropriate waste bins.

Guests agree to respect the surroundings and not to disturb occupants of neighbouring properties. SWG reserves the right to enter the property to investigate concerns relating to the care of the cabin or to disturbances. SWG is within their rights to request that guests vacate the property with immediate effect if it is found to be in a neglected or damaged condition.

Much love, time and expense has been lavished on the cabins and whilst it is sincerely hoped that the respectful enjoyment will only serve to enhance the guest experience, it is understood that a degree of normal wear and tear is to be expected. Should any significant damage or breakage occur (above £25 total to rectify) then guests will be held responsible and liable to a charge equal to the lowest current market value.

Fake tan, waterproof makeup, hair dye and sun cream can all cause permanent damage to bedding, linen and towels. SWG ask that guests take care when using these products, we recommend that guests planning to use such products during their stay bring their own spare linen and towels. If damage/staining does occur and the items cannot be cleaned we reserve the right to charge to replace these items. SWG reserves the right to charge for excessive cleaning where the cabin has been left in an unacceptable condition. Guests will be held responsible for any fire, damage or alterations to the cabin or any other parts of the site caused by negligence.

Linen and towels are provided but will be charged for if not left in the cabin.

Smoking policy Guests are advised that SWG operates a strict no smoking policy within the cabins. Pollution or damage from smoking will result in a charge to ensure the cabin site is returned to a satisfactory condition.

Your vehicles Your vehicles, their accessories and contents are left entirely at your 7risk. SWG is not responsible for any loss or damage from or to any vehicle from any cause whatsoever.

Wheelchair access/mobility difficulties Whilst there is wheelchair access to our nearest cabin, The Cornflower, no special provision has been made within the cabin for guests with a disability. We aim to accommodate guests as much as we can, please check before booking if you have any particular requirements. We are happy to accommodate your needs where feasibly possible. To ensure the cabin booked is suitable for our guests with a disability, it is essential that all booking requests from parties including people with special needs, give us full and clear details of those needs at the time of booking. We also require confirmation as to whether or not the disabled visitor will be accompanied on their holiday by an individual able to attend to all their requirements.

Hot tub Rules and Regulations

During pregnancy soaking in the hot tub may cause damage to the foetus so contact your doctor for advice before entering the water

People with skin, ear, genital or other body infections, open sores, or wounds should not use the hot tub because of the possibility of spreading infection or irritating your condition.

Never use the hot tub while using or after using narcotics, Alcohol or other drugs that may cause sleepiness, drowsiness or raise/ lower blood pressure.

At 39-40°C limit your time in the hot tub to a maximum of 20 minutes as extending this time can affect your inner organs and cause fever like conditions At 36-37°C this time can be extended as this is body temperature and there is no risk.

Do not immerse your head in the hot tub water. This increases the risk of infection and can heighten the dangers of drowning due to suction below the water line.

Never use the hot tub alone.

Take care when entering and leaving the hot tub. When leaving the hot tub leg, muscles may be relaxed enough to make you unsteady.

Never use glass near/in the hot tub as broken glass can cause a risk to people in bare feet and is very difficult to see within the hot tub water.

Do not use any electrical appliances near/in the hot tub

 If any fault or damage occurs with the hot tub, please contact a member of our team at the earliest convenient moment

Persons with heart disease, diabetes, low or high blood pressure, or any serious illness should not enter the hot tub without prior consultation with their doctor

Parents are advised that the hot tubs are not suitable for children under the age of four and to warn their children not to allow water into their mouths as this can cause infection and illness.

The heat of the hot tub water speeds up the effects of alcohol and can cause sleepiness, dizziness and unconsciousness.

Shower with soap and water before and after using the hot tub. Showering before use washes away many of the common skin bacteria and removes lotions, deodorants, creams etc which reduce the effectiveness of the spa sanitizer which disinfects the water.

Never allow children to use the spa or hot tub unsupervised and when not in use, make sure the cover is on and secured.

Avoid using the hot tub immediately after a heavy meal.

Avoid entering the hot tub water immediately after exercising as the water temperature can affect the heart rate.

Take care on the decking/hot tub steps as water from the tub can cause it to be slippery.

If any allergic reaction occurs leave the hot tub and rinse off in the shower. If the reaction persists contact the owners or go to a local doctor or A&E.

NOTE TO PARENTS AND HOT TUB USERS SUITABLE FOR 2 PERSONS ONLY It is your responsibility to enforce the rules of safety at SWG in hot tub. If the hot tub needs to be shut down and emptied due to misuse, this will incur a charge of £100.
